TERMS & CONDITIONS

Orders
Orders are encrypted and sent via our secure server. We do not use a credit card clearing house; instead we process your details on receipt as if you are placing a telephone 'card holder not present' order.

Non-U.K. Orders
Whilst we are happy to supply goods to most countries we reserve the right to decline where we feel there is a significant risk of non delivery or where a local dealer can supply.

Lost or damaged a CD?
We will always replace goods free of charge if the fault is ours, but if you need a replacement CD because, for example, Margot dropped it in the goldfish tank (just one of the excuses we've had), we'll impose a handling charge of £10 ex VAT to cover materials and labour costs, provided we can establish that you own the CD. If we cannot establish that you own then pack, you will be offered the opportunity to buy one.

Lost or can't find an installation/registration code?
Lost your product installation/registration code for one of our programs? In such cases we're always happy to check our database of registered customers and codes. If we find your details we'll send a replacement code for free. We can supply the code by email, fax, mail or over the phone. If we can't find your details then you didn't order direct from us but from one of our dealers and you didn't send back the registration card. If you can provide proof of purchase (e.g. an invoice) or can tell us the dealer's name (so we can check it out), we'll supply the replacement code for £10 ex VAT. If we can't establish that you actually bought the pack, then regrettably the best we can do supply you with and charge for a new one. We're sorry about that but hope you'll understand that we can't just give away software whenever someone requests a replacement - no other business would do that."

Special offers, Prices and VAT
Please read carefully details of any special offers, which may be time-limited or have other conditions attached. We apply all such conditions rigorously. Offers cannot be combined - only one at a time!

Except for special offers, prices should match those in our printed catalogue, a copy of which is available on request.

Prices are excluding VAT except for Home Editions which include VAT. Customers purchasing School Licences need to add VAT and then reclaim it where possible (state schools can, some independent schools cannot.)

Any price errors on this web site will usually be honoured.

Contract and Sale Conditions
Purchases made via this site are subject to contract. We contract to deliver the advertised goods within 28 days, at the price advertised on the date of purchase. You contract to purchase them. If for any reason we cannot supply within that time, we will endeavour to contact you. We will correct any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments within 30 days.

Goods are sold on condition that:

  • they remain our property until paid for in full
  • you agree to abide by the Licence Conditions stated in your pack
  • you will not give or hire our software to third parties
  • it will not be used by clubs or in school breaks except under strict supervision
  • it will not be made available as part of a software library, except with our written agreement
  • you accept full responsibility for ensuring unauthorised installation and/or copying is/are avoided.
  • Right to Cancel
    Purchased goods may be returned for refund or exchange, provided they are dispatched within 7 days, the 7 days starting on the day you receive them. They must be returned in 'as new' condition, with any seal unbroken.

    Refunds
    Refunds will be made by the means with which you paid, e.g. credit card orders will be refunded to your credit card account. The cost of any return must be borne by you unless the reason for the return is due to an error on our part. The refund will be made within 30 days of our agreeing to the cancellation.

    Complaints
    We will acknowledge any complaint within seven days, advise you how long we estimate it will take to resolve your complaint, and keep you fully informed at all times. Complaints should be sent by registered post to:

    Security policy
    We have taken steps to ensure that:

    • this web site is secure so that your personal information and transactions remain confidential and cannot be interfered with
    • the content of the site cannot be interfered with
    • any subcontractors or third parties involved in transactions follow these principles and maintain a similar or higher level of security
    • the security of the site is regularly reviewed
    • any changes made to the site are made in a secure way
    • we follow the security guidelines of our system providers.

    PRIVACY

    We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent amendments).

    We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail or fax you in the future unless you have withdrawn your consent.

    The type of information we will collect about you includes:

    • your name
    • address
    • phone number
    • email address
    • credit/debit card details

    We will never collect sensitive information without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct them promptly. Such personal information will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the Law. We never pass sensitive information to third parties.

    We may use technology to track how various parts of the site are used, and this will be done anonymously. Our shopping facilities use 'cookies' stored temporarily on your browser to gather transaction information. You can usually modify your browser to disable cookies, but if you do that, shopping will not be possible.

    Your information is deleted from our systems on completion of the transaction. We will however, in a separate process, add your details to our postal and email customer databases unless you ask us not to via the Shopping check boxes.

    WARRANTY

    Whilst we make no guarantee that our products are fit for the purpose for which you use them, we guarantee the product for 12 months from the date of purchase. Faulty items or items supplied incorrectly will be refunded, replaced or exchanged at no cost to the purchaser, provided any damage was not caused by the purchaser or his or her contacts.

    DEALERS

    We will agree a credit limit with you. Discounts by arrangement. No minimum order. First order to be paid on dispatch by credit card. Further orders by credit card unless credit arranged. Credit terms strictly 30 calendar days from date of invoice. Delivery invoiced at cost. Returns only in exceptional circumstances where goods have been discontinued and limited to 10% of the last 12 months’ sales of the relevant product/s. Exchanges only in exceptional circumstances and for goods of the same value.
