• Most manufacturers continually update drivers to keep up with the ever-changing demands of new software, and to fix bugs.
• Even though your machine is 'brand new' it doesn't mean that your drivers are. Many computer companies just install the drivers that came with the relevant hardware. These can be very old, sometimes even the first ones written!

It's not all doom and gloom though, because by using these links you can ensure that your hardware will be compatible with new software for years to come. Almost all drivers are very easy to install and come with full instructions.
