Co-operative and stimulating tasks that encourage pupils to think creatively With 25 levels of difficulty in each of the planet’s eight environments, this software comprises 200 unique puzzles set on Scally’s imaginary planet.
The levels progress from straightforward introductory tasks, ideal for young pupils and those with special educational needs, to more complex puzzles demanding creative, lateral and/or divergent thinking. Purpose-designed material explains how to use the pack’s resources to develop thinking skills through practising the processes of analysing, understanding, remembering and applying.
The accompanying booklet, 'Scally's World of Problems in the Classroom', suggests ways in which enterprising teachers can use the purpose-designed material to promote problem-solving skills with pupils of all abilities and ages.
Scally's World of Problems encourages a co-operative approach to problem-solving, and when pupils have familiarised themselves with the roles of all the maze icons, they can be further stretched to create their own puzzles for others to tackle. This takes the activity and the learning beyond problem-solving into the creative process, drawing on imagination and planning skills.

"This fantastic software encourages players to experiment and explore ideas as well as think creatively. What’s more, it is entertaining and challenges a wide age range, including adults, without some of the more frustrating elements of adventure games such as dead ends and hidden items" - Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
"In terms of quality, Scally’s World of Problems is lovely to use, will appeal to children of all ages and has been imaginatively thought out. The supporting documentation is key to the whole program and has been written with its audience in mind in that it assumes a certain amount of computer knowledge without using too much jargon." - TEEM Click here for more...
"Has it any educational value? With the promotion of thinking skills becoming increasingly important in the classroom, the answer is definitely 'yes'." - Interactive
